Bible In A Year Program!

St. Mary’s is organizing a “Bible in a Year” group where we will follow the reading plan and guidance of Fr. Mike Schmitz.

We will do daily readings on our own and meet once or twice a month to reflect together. This group is open to anyone in our parishes whether you have never picked up a bible or have read it 10 times!

If you are interested in participating or would like more information

please email Katie Moll at kathleen.moll@dor.org or call the office at St. Mary’s

Pastoral Planning Update

Representatives from each church in the cluster of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish and St. Katherine Drexel Parish have been meeting for the last several months collecting data for each Parish. This includes information about buildings and grounds, finances, ministries, employees, volunteers, and attendance.

We have been working together evaluating our strengths and weaknesses regarding those categories so we will be prepared for the time when we are assigned by the Diocese only one priest to serve our four churches.

It is vital that you, our parishioners, are involved in this process. The parish survey has been talked about in the announcements, mailed in Fr. Symons’ Christmas Letter, linked on our parish website, and a copy put in each bulletin. Please fill out a survey if you have not already done so. Your survey can be put in the collection basket at Mass or sent in electronically.

There will also be parish town hall meetings explaining the results of our fact finding and to give you an opportunity to ask questions. You are encouraged to attend one of these:

Where: St. Patrick’s Church,

52 Main Street, Macedon

When: Monday, January 22nd at 6:30 pm

Where: St. Mary’s of the Lake,

5823 Walworth Rd., Ontario

When: Wednesday, January 24th at 6:30 pm

Please take part in one of these meetings. Your input and questions are needed, and it is your opportunity to find out facts and how they relate to our future. Please continue to pray for our parishes as we move forward in meeting the pastoral needs of our communities.
