Congratulations on your engagement!

The Sacrament of Marriage is a celebration of this commitment and the relationships that make it possible.

The date and time of the ceremony should be coordinated with one of our parish priests. Couples will interview with a priest. The readiness and freedom each person to be married will be reviewed at this time; a church form called an “investigatio” is completed and any dispensations are arranged. The Bishop requires a 6-month preparation period prior to the wedding.

Attendance at Pre Cana conferences or a similar marriage preparation program is required for both parties, you will be given a schedule.

A new baptismal certificate, issued within 6 months of the wedding date must be obtained from the church you were baptized. (Catholic party only)

A New York State Marriage License must be obtained at least 24 hours before the wedding: it is valid for 2 months after it is issued. NYS Law will NOT permit a ceremony to take place without a license. Please bring it to the church at the time of the rehearsal.

Generally, weddings are celebrated at 2:00 PM on Saturdays. Rehearsals are usually scheduled for the evening before your wedding.

Wedding Fee: $200.00

Musician Fee: Depending on music requested, this will be worked out between you and the musician.

To begin the marriage preparation process, please contact the parish office at (315) 538-8242 or 315-524-2611.
